Angular planes, red brick walls and grey finishes define the facade. A sweeping slatted gate stands to the right, with a semi-covered car park behind it.
To the left of the car park is an elevated patch of lawn; at right, a short, wide flight of steps lead to the front door.

The front door opens into a foyer in biscuit tones. The polished stone floor serves offsets the matte wood-panelled ceiling, while a scarlet recliner adds a pop of contrasting colour at one end, to the right of the door.
“The foyer connects to the living room, while offering glimpses of the central atrium and dining room through the jali-style partition,” says Ashish.

Wood, white and beige dominate the living room through timber panelling, tufted sofas and wooden furniture. The TV, mounted on a ginger-toned cabinet, stands against one wall, while sweeping windows punctuate the other two.
“The living room spills out into a garden on the west. The room is shielded from the harsh sun by retractable window screens that double-hat as safety grilles,” notes Ashish.

Situated between the foyer and the kitchen, and directly opposite the living room, lies the dining room.
Here, an ivory-hued dining table takes centre stage, surrounded by upholstered daisy-white chairs.

The kitchen, situated beside the dining room, is entirely outfitted in white.
Glossy, alabaster-esque cabinets define the under- and over-counter storage, merging smoothly with the white subway tiles of the backsplash.
Of the four bedrooms, one is on the ground floor, while the remaining three are situated on the floor above. A muted minimalist theme prevails in the ground floor bedroom. Beige tiles clad the wall behind the bed, dovetailing fittingly with the restrained ribbed-wood headboard.

The heart of the home is marked by a skylight-topped double-height atrium, which encloses the staircase.
“The home was designed per the principles of Vastu Shastra, and the central atrium is the lynchpin of the layout. It also provides visual connectivity across both levels and receives plenty of natural light during the day,” says Ashish.

The staircase rises to the first and second floors, which host the bedrooms, and the home theatre, bar and gym, respectively.

In the second bedroom, located on the first floor, jharokha-style arched niches and rich tones take pride of place. The buttoned headboard, backgrounded by a burnt-orange wall, is echoed by a complementary bench.
“The seating area is an organic extension of the bedroom and affords lovely views of the garden below,” Ashish says.
The third bedroom has an overarching contemporary vibe that almost borders on grunge. An exaggerated buttoned blue headboard highlights the feature wall. Mirrored wardrobes add shine to the dark palette.
Bright orange and ash grey characterise the fourth bedroom.
The tangerine bed is matched by a sofa in the same tone, while a sleek grey desk defines the wall opposite the bed.
The second floor holds the home theatre, bar and gym, as well as the terrace garden. The home theatre brims with patterns and colours, sporting mustard- and salsa-toned seating, and jali-clad orange walls.

Neighbouring the home theatre is an eye-popping bar with glass and red cabinetry, spider chandeliers and a lounge-style neon sign.
“The entertainment area opens onto the terrace garden, which serves as a spillover zone for when family and friends visit,” says Ashish.
