I've decided to go a Franke double sink 500 & 340 joined & a top mount with drainage to the back in stainless. I thought about all the sinks I've had & what worked & what frustrated me. I decided on top mount cause I have big heavy pans & saucepans & know I'd chip an under mount, I've gone a big bowl to accommodate for large things & another full size sink to use as a drainage area & extra sink so as to have more bench space & no drainage board but use drainage trays that can then be stored above sink or under bench. I also like the idea of cutting boards & straining trays that all fit above in compact area to save valuable bench space as we only have a island bench to accommodate both sink & bench space for everything, no other usable bench space in the kitchen. I'm really struggling with tap options though, know what I want but worried about functionality! Thinking of going with a Nobil Technobili 300 functional 2 spray option that bends but doesn't pull out but worried it won't reach all areas of the sink. Would love an article on what to look for in a functional mixer tap & what to look out for. Thanks

Its very unfair of you to show the beautiful old sinks that have substantial splashbacks eg numbers 6 9 and 10 when they seem to be impossible to find in Australia. Great size for submerging baking trays and racks and you can always use a smaller portable tub inside them to save water.
