Whether you run a business from home or just use your desk for checking emails, your home office has the distinct advantage of being at home. So why stick with a bland desk, when you can have a workspace that is far more fun to look at (and use)? I have a 2 person office area set up at the back of my dinning room. The interesting thing is that I have a beautiful sea view from my dinning room but my desk not only faced the wall with my back to the view but also sits in a corner. I always felt like I was being punished, like when sending a kid to sit in the corner with their back to everybody when naughty. I solved that by installing a long mirror along the length of the wall between the desk top and the upper cabinets. Now I can sit and see everything going on behind me including seeing the fabulous seaside view, a win,win situation.

This is part of the real view from my dinning table.
In this day and age more and more people are looking at working from home, it is a great way to keep the overheads low and not get out of those pj's!.
