The comments are definitely the best part of this article! I hope to remodel my primary bath in the next year or so and the article and the comments have given me a lot to think about.

I have had glass doors on my shower at three different homes over the past 15 years and would never go back to a shower curtain. I enjoy the open feel of having glass walls and I don't find it takes much time or effort to squeegee.

I had a rain showerhead put in at my last home and would not bother with it again. I had a handheld as well and used the handheld every shower and maybe used the rain showerhead a half dozen times in 8 years.

Re accessing the shower taps without getting wet - install a fick mixer - correct position = correct temp with a quick pull and withdraw your arm without getting it wet.

Re overhead shower - if you want to ”leave in” your conditioner, or indeed, not wet your head at all, just lean a little forward or back - no biggie. And just let the water wash your ”bits” (vulva) from above. (not good for vaginal health to be hosing it out all the time).
