Jack Decor
I really like this room for several reasons. It feels balanced in many ways - clean lines but still texture, warmth and plushness; colorful but still restful; uncluttered but not sterile or empty feeling. I do really like the couches and chairs, the fireplace/surround, the use of color (two energetic colors with a splash of complementary orange/gold for interest), even the artwork. The rug is graphic without being too sharp and geometric (although I do tend to favor more watercolory or patchy rugs myself). The room is a bit more formal-looking than I envision, perhaps due to the heavy use of molding, presence of sculpture, and lighting fixture....but shift the decor more rustic and family-friendly and it would be perfect.
Medium wood tones, paint color (shifted to warm greenish grey rather than yellow like here), rock accent walls, Craftsman style lines, white trim with wood doors. The wood on the ceiling here in this hallway is pretty; Decor too ornate for me, prefer more rustic/transitional; feels a little too homogeneous, needs some contrast or color or something but a solid example still
I love this wallpaper (grass cloth?) - it adds warmth, texture, interest
like the wallpaper and the way it cozies up the dining area
Like the casual cloth fabrics in this room plus lots of pattern
colors, mid-range values
like the green walls, wrought iron with wood
love the textures, pops of color - would prefer a little asymmetry to ease things up a touch
love all the texture, the coziness of the chairs, just a few accents
organic elements in the window shades, chair, touch of leather, plant, texture, simple lines but not too modern/sterile, would prefer some color
Textures
colors, cool windows
nice room, like how the side chairs angle inward for a more welcoming, less formal feel
like the abundance of texture as well as the warm neutrals but probably too pastely
I like how this room steers away from feeling overly formal by adding earthy texture, lighter colors, rug, pots, and a more casual lighting fixture
color use, again, plus texture from rug, pillows, and throws
like the use of creams and beiges with gray added as the accent neutral and then some strong color sprinkled in (orange, green)
like the mix of fabrics and textures in this room, iron side table is cool and even like the leather chairs (but don't like animal print...anywhere), don't care as much for midcentury accents, though
Don’t like the style much but a good example of lots of pattern layered in to create a comfortable, lived-in feel that is lively and interesting but not loud
breezy white curtains
furniture style (cozy, casual, substantial and not too delicate); I like some antiques around but Loren doesn't like that as much
decor items; open bench could work well in family room
Loren likes these craftsman windows
rug and artwork
Cool wood slices :)
kids' art wall
wall art adds some whimsy - maybe in bonus room
cool artwork and lamp
like this metal finish on the lamp
those deep leather chairs look inviting
by Haverty's furniture - like the armless seating, would keep the flow of the front living room open
Sofas for front room? - "Monaco" by Elite Leather Company
like this clock
like the fan
too cool
