Stairs
Stair wood species is Walnut. Handrail is Walnut, guard rail is painted steel 2" x 1/2" and 1/2" x 1/2" solid stock. Tile: Custom Cut Gray Leuders limestone tile
The wood is Cherry. Unfortunately, we don't have the name of the stain used. The floor is antique pine.
The woodwork is all oak. I believe the stain is a Sherwin Williams color called Mountain Ash SW3540. I don't think that is the correct stain. I just bought that same color and it's very light--almost clear--when dry on oak. My guess is that it was a dark stain on oak. I just refinished my red oak mantel in espresso, and it looks similar. I only did one coat then applied 4 coats of polyurethane.
The wood products used break down as follows: Newel Post = White Cedar, Balusters = Select Grade Pine, Handrail = Red Birch. Hope this helps.
This is a custom built railing. It was built on site with vertical-grain clear fir. It was then fitted with glass and custom forged metal rails on top.
