Room protrudes from mass of house. Glass walls reveal what's inside and allows views to outside from the interior. Let's in natural light .
Concern: heat gain. Be careful.

Warm rich color and texture palette.

Exterior metal screen for vines. Advantages:
1. Provides a "soft" texture and color for areas of the exterior.
2. Provides shade and air cushion which provides insulation for exterior skin.
3. Can be a more affordable exterior skin than more expensive skins.

Trellis extends beyond the occupied exterior space.

A different ceiling tratment may help to visually define and separate the two spaces even though their is no separation in plan. Another seperator could be different wall tratments, i.e. Dining with glass exterior walls with views to exterior opening up the room.

More bad.

What i don't like. Bunch of furniture thrown in a big room. No real sense of either two separate or complementary spaces - just furniture. Can't imagine telling guests "Let's retire to the living room." Really?

Dining at the the apex of a 90 degree intersection. Like the kitchen/dining and dining/living room relationship. Do think i'd care for kichen/dining/living as one space.
Exercise equipment.
