Hi Bargamon and Jason- As promised, here's the post I made yesterday in the other thread that got hijacked by spammers... Here's a few pics of my new chair too. Its from Rove and my transaction was flawless from start to finish. I don't work for Rove (Im a social worker from AZ), nor do I have any other chairs to compare this to. I got all my info about Rove from the posts that seemed genuine. It was a leap of faith and I so far no regrets.
It's Modena Eggshell and Palisander Rosewood
The white gloves inside the box. We didn't use them.
Here's the tiny little flaw in the wood. I zoomed in for this pic. Its barely noticeable, but I looked it over from top to bottom. This is the only thing I found. If I zoomed out you couldn't see it at all.
Both pieces came in this one big box. It was packed really, really well.
Here's my husband helping unpack the chair. We had to unpack it outside because the box wouldn't fit through our courtyard gate.
So far, I love it. I had to adjust the feet on the base and the chair to sit level on my tile. My floor is uneven in places so I knew I'd have to do that. My first impression is that the chair is very comfortable. I have to get used to the tilt... I keep wanting to sit straight up. I put a lumbar pillow behind my back and it was very comfy. I'm 5'8" tall and I can scooch down in it so that my head is on the backrest. From there I felt myself dosing off, so its definitely "napable," I will give you guys an update in a few months and tell you how my new baby and I are doing. Even when I'm not sitting in it, I find myself looking at it and smiling. Its just a gorgeous piece of art. Form and function.
As for the ordering and delivery... Everything went perfectly. I tracked it the whole way here from Washington and it arrived right on time. I had to wait 2 extra days for delivery due to my work schedule. I can attest to the fact that the chair is well packed in the shipping box. The delivery guy was not kind nor gentle while getting it off the truck. He toppled it end over end (rolled the box) from the back of the delivery truck to the tailgate. I was cringing the whole time. I insisted that we open it before he left and alas...it was perfect. There was lots of bubble packing and wrapping in the box and a solid piece of wood for the "floor" of the box. Yea, I'm happy. And for the record...I don't work for any furniture company.
