LOve this guide to kitchen lighting
Beautiful backsplash tile texture and hue. Nice wide counters
I like that this zoning seems to speak to (can't see it all, but am deducing) a baking prep area on the left of the oven and a cooking prep area to the right. I guess the left could be cooking too, but point it, there are sep areas for oven and stove, so both can be used at once (or you don't need to clean up to switch modes)
Nice modest hood, not a clunker or an ornate one
Not personally a fan of all that wood, but the hiding options are interesting
Oh my, the paper sorter. yes!
TBH I would REALLY use this a lot for lists and so on. Writing recipes down as I make them, dye ratios for fondant, etc
These end cabinets are a great alternative to bookshelves. Depending on which end cap they were on, they could have spices and small baking items (near the dining room) or small prep utensils, paper and plastic, etc. (near the breakfast room)
V interesting sink -- granite composite in dark color won't stain from pans (as pale ceramic will)
What color toe-kicks? What about dark blue (if cabinets are this) or brass?
pretty wallpaper! bold, dramatic, unifying
the mixer nook would also be a good coffee clutter solution
look at the mixer nook on the top left!
so much here! 1. color scheme. 2. L open shelf that i'd like to consider next to pantry and stove. 3. tiles! 4. blue and brass!
THIS off-center large sink is exactly what I'd like (albeit to the right, not left.) I'd put a second, small sink on the left, where they have a door and we have a peninsula
I like this color scheme a LOT. And it would look even lighter for us bc of aspect
If hallway cleaning stuff shallow closet doesn't work, then this could work in pantry space (would = less pantry space)
NO. These gather grease and oils and sauces, etc. Such a PITA to clean.
Pretty all white with black and warm coppery accents.
This bookshelf saves kitchen storage space and books aren't near grease and water
Pretty nook!
More examples of hybrid open-closed cabinetry. Definitely at least this much open
Copper hardware on cool grey cabinetry is lovely contrast
Yes! Books storage in peninsula
Open storage nook for large items is great, esp. about counter workspace. Would put bowls, sieves, colander, etc., here
Pretty sink
Pretty teal
Black pulls won't show dirt
Interesting wrap around. Does our design allow for this? Kitchen storage becomes book shelving
Decorating, not kitchen design, but good point about clear stools
I'd thought this wouldn't work on our peninsula (bc of potental book storage at end) but maybe a nice distinctive (not like here) waterfall would be better, given the edge that allows for seating
GREAT idea to create zones in our relatively open plan. Consider waterfalls at kitchen-dining boundary. ALSO a way to integrate two spaces...
Fine details to consider for cabinetry
Not this color, but this configuration of double range, counter, tall cabs, and window resembles sthg for us
Pretty streaked side panels!
What a clever idea. Better place for the 3x/year stuff like canning supplies -- and for baking trays
This stove color is so magical
Oh my, excellent lid storage!
Oooh, this granite (or whatever it is) is gorgeous. Also, great layout, altho closed end at windows is not what we have.
Narrow, so good comp. Note the carefully placed prep sink (at far end) and clean-up area sink (by fridge)
Lots of beautiful but probably impractical things here: High, curtain-covered window would let in lovely light. Beaded panes on window by sink just look really nice. BW scheme is great though, and cream and white is well-balanced here.
