Absolutely agree AliceLouise01, it hugely effects my bottom line for the better and I love the non-consumerist life choice. It's very freeing.... :)

Making your own bread with a bread maker isn't as cheap as they make it out to be. Bread flour alone is actually quite expensive, and that's ignoring all the other ingredients you need. I can buy a ready-to-eat loaf cheaper from my local bakery for $2. If you want to make your own bread, do it because you enjoy making bread from scratch, it tastes great and you know exactly what's in it, not to save money.

I have just started renting out my spare room to a boarder - but she's the daughter of a friend, so not a stranger. The young lady is such an angel and has set the bar so high I doubt that anyone else coming in after her will make the grade...
