Steam Shower. The 8-by-5-foot shower features marble hexagon tiles on the floor and 3-by-5-inch marble subway tiles on the walls and ceiling. Three marble shelves in the corner hold shampoos and soaps. A computerized panel on the other side of the shower (not shown) controls the water temperature and pressure, the steam jets and multiple shower heads.

Ceiling tile in steam showers should be tipped at two inches per foot (or more) to prevent water from dripping on the users. Thinner (¾-inch) sheets of Glassos cover the walls of the bathroom, reflecting light and making the space feel bigger. There’s an integrated Corian sink and a fully enclosed shower. (While it’s not a steam shower, it comes close when the transom windows are closed.) The floors are flame-finished granite.
Plan ahead for steam showers. If you're planning to have steam in your new shower, then look for shower fixtures that have steam vapor flashings included with the rough-in. This might be tough for some sales people to determine, so be prepared to look into it more after you leave a store. You'll also need to shop for a steam generator
