kitchen planning and layouy
A good pantry has several sized shelves, but space for appliances as well. I’m not sure we have room for one, but a butlers pantry is ideal so that below the hip level is wine storage in a small fridge and appliances hidden behind a cabinet door. Above those cabinets would be a narrow counter (for desserts that are ready but you want to hide until after dinner), food that doesn’t require refrigeration (cookies, bread). Perhaps the lunch making station can be in the butlers pantry, and even the alcohol. Then you could lock that door and always keep the kids out of the alcohol.
