This is a kitchen in a house with an identical footprint/original design as ours. The wood looks so warm and inviting - I want to hang out in this kitchen (though it looks like not much room to do so!) Also like that it is in keeping with the age and design of the Craftsman house and isn't trying to be too modern. Like the natural stone countertops and glass window accent cabinets.
I have wondered what it would look like to put a contrast runner up our already-carpeted stairs...whether that would even work. It would pull in some color into my overly bland colored house, maybe. It would also make me less worried about wearing shoes upstairs/the light carpet and could be a nice color tie in to the other rooms.
I have no idea as to how this could be correlated to our living room, but I love the arched beams and the outsized white contrast moulding along the top of the ceilings and the overall airy elegance. I like the color and white contrast. Not keen on the beige/neutral flooring or couches, etc. Dog's cute, too. :)
I am drawn to the indigo in this painting and how it contrasts with the white hanging clouds, but would honestly rather not have anything evocative of rain in my home, as we get plenty of the real stuff in Seattle!
Was thinking of this for my bedroom a while back, to tie in the navy from our multi-colored bedspread and add some femininity. I think it's too big for our nightstands, however.
Just a beautiful lamp - I like the shape, the negative space, and the turquoise. I like it in spite of the driftwood-shade wood, not because of it. Usually don't like southwestern themes, though (and I see Turquoise as falling within that category)
A simple vanity idea that I thought would coordinate with our upstairs bath. Again, I like carrera marble and I thought grey would coordinate with the blue accent tile. I already have a shower curtain that I like that ties the grey to the denim-like blue hue.
I am intrigued at the space saving design of a wetroom/stall showerfor a 3/4 bath downstairs (rather than just a powder room). It need not be huge - just provide an additional shower space for us - and possibly an easy space to wash off the dogs paws post-walks. Wonder if it can fit in our powder room/3/4 bath space? Also, I like the idea of textured/rock-like tile for the shower flooring, more generally. Don't know anything about the potential downsides of it (hard to clean, maybe?), however.
I like the carrerra marble-tops and the light and brightness of it all; the stainless wine fridge and appliances - it's not my favorite kitchen, though- don't love the super dark floors or island cabinet, and I think the plant-styles look kind of silly. I'm not also huge on that style of sink.
I like the color variety, that the blue might coordinate with my hearth tile, that it's not a boring "Persian/Traditional" rug style, and that there are other color options for pillows, curtains, upholstery. Not tied to this particular color scheme.
Love the blue walls and how they tie in with the blue pendants and seat backs in the kitchen, and just the hint of blue appearing in the kitchen tiles. like the contrast of blue with whitest white wood trim. Also REALLY like the painting. Great job on this space, Tammara and Caroline!
This rug caught my eye.
