43rd Place Renovation
Good use of a corner cabinet for less often used items.
Place for all the mail and paper junk to stay organized and not end up on a counter surface!
I like the dedicated coffee station idea so that the coffee maker isn't sitting out on the countertop
Possible option for secret room access.
What if something like THIS was the door to the secret playroom/storage area??
I love the built-ins with the sloped roof. Might be possible in the kids rooms on the wall with the window.
I picked this pin when we were looking at Chesapeake. At the time I said "I like the craftsman exterior and the covered entry porch. The porch isn't huge but provides some shelter from the elements and a chair to for an adult to sit and watch kids or read the paper." I can't believe we are designing a craftsman house now!
I still love the penny tile (the tile shape and contrasting color) as well as the bright fixtures. I could imagine this for the children's bathroom upstairs.
Both Josh and I do foreign policy work related to Asia. Although this wallpaper is bold, I really like the bright contrast of colors in a small room -- and in general we do like to decorate with Asian art from our travels. Might be a good choice for the downstairs bathroom if we can find a version that can be used in a room with a shower (though I don't think the shower will get routine use).
I love this shower enclosure because it reminds me of a NYC loft apartment. I'm guessing it will be too much in a small master bath, but had to throw it in here.
I like the funky wallpaper! The best job I ever had was being an arborist in college and Josh is an Oregonian so we have a thing for trees.
The tall mirrors are dramatic!
I like the single sink with the brass light fixtures and wall mounted plumbing. I also like the dark vanity. I don't necessarily love the open towel storage BUT since we don't have a linen closet in the master bath, it's worth considering.
I think this three drawer design is easier to navigate than a lazy susan corner cabinet design.
I like the cooling color palate here, brass details on the stove and hood.
I like the idea of a charging drawer for all the devices! Great place to require them to be put during meals/family time.
I like the idea of a dedicated coffee nook somewhere in the kitchen!
Might be possible to add a glass wall/doors like this between the living room and music room? I had imagined it completely open but this might be another option.
I love the wooden island. It might not be as practical as a table/work surface but I think it's really grounding and earthy in a kitchen.
Love the cabinet lower cabinet color. Not sure How I feel about two-tone top/bottom cabinets but love the idea of pop of color somewhere in the kitchen cabinet area.
I like the dark cabinets and the light fixtures over the island. I am surprised to also like the marbled countertop.
I like the dark cabinet color and the midcentury modern look of the wooden bar stools, also the brass fixtures above the island. The rest of the asthetic trends a bit modern for my taste.
I love the brass faucet and funky nobs on the stove in the background.
