Just Some Photos I Like
• Comfy reading nook. Textural juxtaposition of chair—worn-in leather with soft soft soft sheepskin. Warm and so inviting. And does not appear as if it would induce sleep instantly like some reading chairs. This is a place where one could get some actual reading done!! Love that there are two copies (that I've spotted so far) of the American Heritage Dictionary. Great dictionary! I have multiple copies myself! • Bookcase reminds me of my piano teacher's glass-enclosed case I which she stored her most precious pieces of sheet music. • Love the collection of wooden candlesticks?? Whatever they are, they're awesome. And grouped en masse like that elevates them to something more than special. They have major impact!
Color scheme. And how about that herringbone floor?! Never seen anything like that before, and I think I like it. The pullout clothing storage is interesting, too. I like the idea of being able to completely remove this "closet" from view—you'd never know there was anything back there!—but I'm curious how smoothly the unit slides in and out; is it hard to manage? If so, my clothing would probably wind up strewn about as it is now, which significantly decreases the lovely zen vibe the from the color scheme and the clean lines.
• The vertical wall of greenery, obv!
