Makes me think that if we went dark for all of the countertops, we could use the same color for the island and hutch. They still would be their own unit, but the countertop would tie everything together (not sure why I am gravitating towards the dark) :) Also, knowing the pattern of the floor could be a costly issue (to cut and arrange differently), this might be an option (not a solid color)?

Contrasting color of island
Backsplash-not really this one, but one that blends more vs stark contrast (which would make it the focal point of our very small kitchen).
Interesting concept with island being a different color (pulling color from the backsplash) compared to the other colors (cabinet and walls).

Mark- above the sink area (if opening door hight vs ceiling hight)?
Zoom in. The upper small cabinet glass detail.
Frosted glass and top of cabinet.
Interesting idea- one color cabinet on top, another on bottom. Hmmmm.

Like the glass on the cabinet
Like the style of cabinet not the color.

I actually really like the blue with the veiny marble contrast. It is smart looking. Wonder how something like that might look in our kitchen (maybe not blue). Might not work with the red walls (I think I want to keep that color for the walls in the kitchen).
like this pantry! Looks like there would be a lot of storage space. Not sure our wall lis deep enough to allow for this. :(
Similar cabinet color wood as what we have (probably keep?). I like the tile wall/backsplash and I think I like the countertop (hard to see).
Interesting cabinet faces as well as the profile of the countertops (not in a straight, flush line).
Floor? Plus the backsplash (which is always how I envisioned the floor Mark has described wanting in the past).
maple cabinets with very dark countertops with light walls. It is a nice look.
