Interesting write up as this lamp reminds me of the ones in the last Skinner auction, no?
Plants
I like the simpleness of this gate and pathway. The one lily even is a pop of unexpected color! Pretty simple basic plants but it looks charming! I agree this is really pretty and not to fussy Yes!
Pretty, these are so pretty!!
Hahahahah!
So sweet. Just had to share.
Getting to know your greenery! I think I will need shade plants, there is a big tree in the neighbor yard who's canopy shades mine. There are many. I have always adored shade gardens! I have a great book on shade gardens. i'll bring it !
No place like a home field! how cool is that!!!!
Container gardening. This is amazing! And something that would be awesome in my postage stamp back yard. Great for lettuces in the spring and summer, kale in autumn!
Patterned outdoor stone Very cool. Easy and wow factor is high!
What a cool idea with the ceiling! It's PVC. Who knew!
Cool tile!! Gorgeous!
Art on the staircase? Is it too busy looking? The choice of art makes a difference in the busyness. This grouping looks like flea market purchases someone just had to have. I think your appeal factor would shine better.
The white against the unique floor is something unexpected...in a good way! Totally agree. Gorgeous and tile is easy to replace a section if needed. Think about a heat coil under the floor for added warmth and comfort for the cold months. It's easy to install.
The steal counters are neat! I haven't seen it before. Yes, a fabricator cuts the stainless steel to size for you and beds it into shape. Not totally inexpensive and stainless scratches easily. There are optional stainless finishes that may help with the scratching. On this choice be sure to check out the details before you design around the look. Stainless info: When buying ss appliances check the sides as well as the fronts. Sinks- From:GN Builders L.L.C May 2014 For the most part is the quality of steel is being used make a difference. There is three most common grades of stainless steel on the market and that is 304, 316 and 410. Grade 304 is the most common sink on the market which has at least 8% nickel... some manufactures use 10% for better quality sinks. Also gauge of steel is an important factor, most common are 18 gauge, better quality sinks or hand made sinks would be 16 gauge. Small sinks like for the bathrooms most common are 18-20 gauge. The lower the number, the thicker the steel, so 16 gauge, will cost more, it will not dent as lower gauge steel will and its definitely better for noise reduction, and if you plan to have garbage disposal attached it will perform m...
Stone and cement tiles, easy breezy. Oh that looks amazing! It would probably be easier then just patio stones too! I thought so.
Simple fire pit
Fire and water
Sand! Awesome!! Though I'm not sure the sand would survive our snowy winters haha I agree!
Bamboo, when sunk into cement containers, works as a beautiful screening wall and when lit at night with the wind blowing through...just magical!
Area of lawn!
Sweet! This is right out of my head :)
Plants...no grass! You'll have to help me pick hearty plants, I don't know much about gardening. Definitely. You're probably a natural green thumb and just don't know it!
Whoa, backyard kitchen! That would be super cool Totally awesome!
I see these stenciled floors a lot these days. What do you think for the kitchen or bathroom or even the entry way. Either speaks to you or not. Perhaps a more meaningful graphic than seen here. I haven't seen it before! There is an area upstairs this may be a neat idea for! Let's keep it in mind.
Anchor your kitchen with appliance choices. Between the stove-oven-fridge-sink-dishwasher-microwave-ventilation system ...usually the stove sets the tone. However, anyone of these can be the centerpiece. Also, an island - whether for seating alone or other uses-can make the statement.
Very elegant and it's a kitchen!
Tile-powerful color and statement.
How cool! A herb garden area! So cool!! People are so creative!! Really. That's what is so useful with HOUZZ.
