Sleek
The two rooflines to the left
Grrrrr, sad face, cottage does work
THIS is kind of an interesting way of handling the discrepancy in the front elevations.
It there something here we can use?
This has real potential...yes?
Same ....swoop
Close up of how they did it
Ok, this one is an example of a HELL NO,
Mid level ( door area) used as transition
Example of staggered lines.
Another example of the swoop
This would NEVER get a yes from me! The eve projection of the old roof projects in front of the addition window. NO, NO, NO! It remains all in the details.
I CA N live with the dormer solution if I must. This is a decent example.
This is quite nice. A little twee ,but still rather nice.
I saved this for no good reason except it makes me quite happy just to look at it.
An idea of what volume would be if Steve simply continue up from one side( south) with the roof.
Same idea, incorporating the front door in a swoop.
Inspiration. I would Die if this were what I came home to!
Varied levels breaking up the otherwise oppressive main roof structure
The concept of slightly curving and elongating out existing lines to include the portico and thereby easing the roof transition sans valleys that catch water
Shows possible roof solution
No, pretty much on every level. Too unrelieved white. To static. Too unsophitocated.
