This is a beautiful French Style dining room.
The mix of two different style window treatments is different and is worth noting. Most designers do the same treatment style on all of the windows.
I like the bell pleat style of the valance with contrast lining and edge trim detail.
The rug is exceptional. The pattern is unique and the color combination would inspire anyone.
I like that this is my interior design & that so many people responded to this design project.
I have always wanted to do a tin ceiling.
I like the unique chandelier.
The window treatments in this room are great.
This is a beautiful, traditional dining room. It reminds me of living in Connecticut near the New York border.
These ball cluster chandeliers add an interest to any dining room.
I love Santa Barbara style or Spanish Colonial period homes.
How much fun is this metal wall art?!
It appears that there is a stenciled detail on the ceiling that is so subtle.
I really like the bleached, rustic ceiling beams and lantern.
The Dutch Door isn't seen very often but everyone comments when they see one in a positive way.
These drapery panels really pull the room together. The ball trim is fun and will hold up on this application.
I really like how the gold leaf ceiling warms this space.
The drapery treatments accentuate the height of the room.
I love the Venetian chandelier. This space mixes so many elements so very well.
I have always appreciated the Director's Chair. I also like the beams & wood slats on the ceiling.
I like the white, painted ceiling boards.
I really like this powerful area rug as well as the more muted print tiles on the stair risers.
The square, cantilevered dining table is unique.
Craftsman dining room.
This is simply beautiful.
The three tiered chandelier almost is lost due to all of the other beautiful elements in this space. This is very rich looking. I would love to be a guest in this space.
Black & White
I like how much is going on in this room. The glass transom above the door, coffered ceiling, wainscoting, roman shades with contrast banding, floral print draperies & ethnic patterned wallpaper, rustic dining table with transitional dining chairs all could have gone terrible wrong but didn't.
I love the beamed ceiling detail as well as the rustic stone fireplace.
Drapery treatments are an art all on their own. These swags & cascades with contrast lining are such a statement.
The horizontal stripes are fun without being over powering. The scale of the print is perfect.
I like the subtle color blocking on the drapery panels.
The chandelier requires that you notice it.
The custom pierced panels flanking the opening give the feeling of entering a "special space" beyond.
I like the use of two chandeliers instead of the traditional single, centered placement.
This design almost has a "Monastic" feeling to the room.
I like the pattern of the area rug; center points spreading out to the edges and corners.
Even though I do not like the pattern of the drapery fabric, I find the mixture of valance and wood poles interesting. All valances would have been too much in this space. However, all wood poles would have worked.
The wallpaper reminds me of the Van Luit days.
You do not see many dramatic window treatments it seems. The dining room is a perfect place to present the windows as art especially during the evening hours.
I personally am attracted to the "Beach House" style. Living on the West Coast has made this look very popular in my area.
