Spacing. PRO jodi foster design + planning 5 feet is the minimum width of wall required for a toilet and sink, placed side by side as shown. Like Bookmark April 3, 2013 at 7:17PM lsbhome that's great because I am updating my powder room & the wall where sink & toilet are is 5'5". will I have room for a 30" pedestal sink or do I need to go smaller. I want to use the Kohler Memoirs "Stately" design but not sure it comes in 27". do you know the size of this sink? thanks Like Bookmark April 4, 2013 at 3:38AM PRO jodi foster design + planning Plan on a minimum wall space of 30" for toilet (between wall and vanity, allowing for 15" min to toilet centreline from wall). The sink shown above is indeed from the Kohler Memoirs Stately line (24 1/2" wide model) which allows for breathing room between pedestal and adjacent wall. With 5'-5" of wall space you have a little more space, so the 30" model will fit (space 18" to centreline form side wall). You would need to check with local plumbing fixture supplier to see what is currently available in your area. Happy renovating!

Like simplicity of cabinet with open bottom. Blue green color and wall between toilet. Wall looks covered in tile.
Use this simple half wall to separate toilet and sink in down hall bath and maybe in second floor bath.

Shower fixture is simple and removable.
Shower floor is flush with floor.
Favorite shower. Window 'floats' on wall by minimizing background surface. The small divider hides the shampoo shelf.
Do we have enough length in master bath for a walk in shower with no door or lip on shower pan? Is there a low profile pan with minimal lip?
Shower with sprayer for down hall bath.
It is a 12 x 24 format oriented vertically. Due to the overall hexagonal texture and minimal grout joints (and lighting in this photo) it "almost" appears as a monolithic surface. The shower tile is Geostone 12 x 24 Tortora. The floor tile is from the same Tortora line by Geostone. I don't know if the line comes in a range of colors as I don't have a specific color noted in the summary that came from the contractor. The Owner and Interior Designer made the wonderful choices for this room. Larger format tiles with texture is something I've just started seeing in the last few years. Take a look at a great local tile store.
Towel bars on wall next to tub.
Oversized tile in shower.
Looks like 7" pine T&G on walls. Use this in down bath.
Framed mirror with sconces and overhead cans. Look at tile floor.

Single piece shower enclosure with glass doors in hall bath. Would add a half wall between lav and sink.
Make ledge on bath alcove. Put in mirror to reflect a really cool chandelier from Huberton Forge.
We need a light to hang over freestanding tub. Look at hubardton forge. This will be first and center when entering bath. Make it simple but set a tone.
Cabinet to hold towels!
This is probably the configuration we will install due to customization around window. Hate grout but tile over the prefab shower is likely our only option with window. If you prefer stronger cleaning agents or you're concerned about the effect of your local water on your shower floor, a ready-made shower base may be a better choice, since it won't stain as easily as tile. Tip: Not all shower bases are created equal. Many are slightly flexible and can benefit from the use of a concrete bed underneath. Double-check with the manufacturer that this is OK before purchasing, and make sure that this is done during installation. Often, this flexibility will lead to a leak at the drain connection, so extra care is needed to carefully support the drain at the drain connection area. Just use a cast iron base from kohler.
Most point drains (clamping drains) do not offer the fine adjustment other drains offer. Make sure your plumber sets them level. A good trick is to set the drain with a small level in place and then spin the strainer. The grill should stay level in any position. Notice the additional weep (or draining) holes on the perimeter of this drain — these help the shower dry out faster between uses. This drain is sold by Noble Company, and it's one of the best drains out there. Tip: Use pea gravel around the weep holes before the final shower mortar is installed to prevent the mortar from blocking or plugging the holes.
Slope for drain.
Look at bookmarks for this guy's advice on bathroom tiling, grouting and waterproofing. If your looking for extended warranties then your complete system needs to be looked at. Mixing and matching suppliers will net you zero warranty from the mix and matched suppliers. Choosing Mapei for example for their waterproofing, setting materials and grout can net you a 15 year warranty on the products. Choosing the right products from Laticrete can net you a 25 year warranty, same from Custom Building Products.
This is how to hang multiple hooks on a big long wall using a single trim piece as an anchor.
