Mainly the mix of texture that the brick brings. The original house had a brick facade, and this might be an interesting ode to the past.

I like the warmth of the wood topped island (would like an island) and the brightness of the space wit he window configuration. also like the lighting fixtures ... amber tones/copper tones resonate with me. ceiling detail is nice, makes it homey/not sterile and is uncluttered.

This is probably a little too cold/sterile for me why the sleekness of the cabinet finishes and hardware and countertop finishes. However, I like the sink being part of the island with the stove behind it. Also like the double oven and microwave on the wall/part of cabinetry.

The only reason I added this was for the contrast that the black lends to the window frames -- not necessarily sold on it, but could be an option.

The inly reason this is here is the cabinet design to hide counter-top appliances. I'd like to have pull-out shelves for easy access to pots, pans, etc. Also would like place in floor cabinets for trash and recycle

While elements of this are a bit too slick for my tastes, since we may be moving walls, I do like the flow of this space. Not sure how stairs may fit/be moved?
