Basher Home
The other option is to keep your sink cabinets taller like they are now, and have a lowered makeup vanity with storage. I don't like this option as much, and like the idea of the lower vanity (33" instead of 36" high) with the integral makeup area. To get a feel for the height, you could check other bathrooms in your home to see if any are the 33" high.
A simpler option for family room
Gold, flush mount for family room
Unique light for family room. I’m unsure on shape of crystals however.
More modern option for family room
Family room light. With your ceilings being 10’, this can be hung right at the ceiling and not be too low.
Simple design for foyer
For foyer. Similar to dining lights I sent.
This light is more like a foyer showpiece
This is a nice option for more of a traditional yet transitional style.
This has more of a rectangular feel, and more modern.
A more modern version in black. At first I really liked it, but now unsure on the heaviness of the upper part.
Idea for dining light. Of course, we would have to decide on the rest of the area too, but just wanted to share my ideas!
This tile is a more traditional option for your fireplace as is. It is Calcutta marble, and has some similar features as your kitchen counters. But, we can also look at this color marble in different patterns too. This would look great with your built ins in white with a painted back, or black painted built ins.
Although you mentioned possibly not doing anything to the ceiling in your master, a simple applied molding painted the same color of the ceiling could be a quick way to make the room look more custom and modern. Just a thought!
This kitchen is a good example of lighting. They have under cabinet lights, lights above the cabinets, and lights inside the glass cabinets.
This is a great example of adding wallpaper to the back of shelving without being too busy, but still adding character. There are some wallpaper that are peel and sticks that some people can use as DIY or try themselves too.
These shelves have a painted accent color on the back wall.
This is the lighting I was thinking of where the lights are installed on the side of the frame, and it creates a wash inside from the front sides. This also shows a darker bookcase back, which I wouldn't recommend that color, but you could use another accent color in the back of a bookcase or even wallpaper.
One option for bookcase lighting in family room is to have the tape lights on each shelf.
Another example of wall cabinet storage in bathroom. This also shows narrow sconces.
Similar to my bathroom elevation with the bump out and wall cabinet to counter storage.
single and double sconce
Example of using single and double sconce for visual balance
Wallpaper accent on vanity wall
Another example of a cabinet bump out, except in this case they use feet. Feet can be used only on the bumped out cabinets as well, in front of the toe kick.
This is an example of how the 2 middle drawers in your master can be "bumped out" and a decorative toe can be added in that spot.
This is a cleaner, more modern look on tiling around the drop in tub and it matches the floor color. The tiles on the floor are in a herringbone pattern which adds some character to the room.
You can update the tub with a quartz or granite top, and paneled front to match your cabinets. But, I suspect a freestanding tub may be less in price. It is worth looking at the cost differences and options.
This is a warmer look, but still modern and some classic designs. The tile is a linear travertine with a herringbone tile accent in the shower. The chandelier also adds some character to the room.
This option is a simple, clean and modern look. Free standing bath, painted vanity, neutral tile in shower, and white marble look on the floor, with light walls.
The shower and bath configuration is similar. This is very geometric, but is a good example how the tile can be an accent wall behind the bath and shower.
Litter can be hidden in cabinet too.
Spot for litter box, although in your design I would have it hidden off to the side wall, so it isn't visible when you first walk in.
Another laundry pantry storage
Example of a combination laundry room and pantry storage.
Example of overhang. It could start rounding off the cabinets, or it can come out some before starting to curve.
Another example of white and gray kitchen
Another option for color scheme. White perimeter cabinets and gray island, neutral backsplash and more white countertop. The flooring is also a medium brown stain.
color scheme option for kitchen. Optional white cabinets, and Dark wooden island.
Not a fan of the items selected in the room, but the colors used are nice as they are a subtle gray on walls and ceiling.
Dining accent wall, dramatic darker paper.
Simple wainscot painted white, and a gray wall, with crown molding. This is a simple option for the dining, yet classic and beautiful.
This one doesn't have wainscot, but it shows a neutral wall, and a neutral color ceiling as an accent. It is calming, yet unique.
It is hard to find pictures of traditional dining rooms with wainscot and crown. This is similar to how yours could be, with all of the wainscot painted white, and a color on the walls above, or a simple wallpaper. The ceiling could be white, or an accent color if the walls are painted. This option is a bit dark, so I am looking for other lighter options!
Paneled accent walls are also popular now, as another option besides wallpaper or paint accent.
