Ortega Renovation
LS: maybe something like this could work?.The table area would be table height/the baking area It might look nicer if there aren't any cabinets underneath? The examples you found look nice, but the 2 levels mostly accommodate a higher bar/seating area (too dated!). What do you think of this? JC: No bar seating - won't work for young kids. Table needs legs for stability. Toying with the idea of a drawer underneath (knowing it will get banged and kneaded on). It will be a table though. I sent you some concept sketches by email. For now, very simple/sturdy construction
baking table extension
JC: Extendible butcherblock surface. We wouldn't be able to extend in this way because of the sink though...
roll out table - with storage underneath
IKEA cabinets used for workstation sink base
LS: This could be the entire side wall.
Open shelving or upper cabinets next to fridge (no need for pantry storage on right)
Great hood, like the backsplash too.
post trim?
black island. i like the black lights - really like how it achieves balance vertically
