General Interior Spaces
Style of half wall open 'balcony'. Flat ceiling over walkway + vault over the void space.
** Like the proportions of the windows to the window framing and walls.
**Open/rough roof would be ok for 2nd story bedrooms.
Just really like the recessed ceiling structure and accent lighting around the perimeter of it.
** Like long line of sight across spaces
Like the exposed/interesting ceiling, full width of doorways, and stone wall.
Like long line of sight with doors off the hallway. Seems very 'stately'.
Really like the combination of colors and textures here - the lighter wood with white walls and lighter stone - all works very well together. Would def. be open to this interior look. Not so much on the layout.
Like the stone wall and wooden door combination in foreground. Wouldn't work if rest of the house was basic drywall but if it fits, this would be a great look.
**Just like the overall blend of colors and textures. Room is too big for us but the material and colors are great together.
**Reminds us of colonial dining room in Clinton's parents' house.
**Big fan of the wide door opening (not sure if practical in Fulshear but want to discuss)
**Again - like big door opening; not sure if practical for Fulshear weather but should discuss.
**Really interesting space with double island concept. Like this a lot.
**Like the sunken floor idea. Not sure where we'd put it but really like how it divides space.
**Wood ceiling texture and color is nice. Don't prefer the overall aesthetic of the room but the wood aspect is nice.
Like the design of the ceiling and accent stone fireplace wall.
**Just another angle of the sunken floor concept we saved elsewhere in this folder.
We like this but no can lighting and less yellow accent light color.
Add recessed ceiling detail with hidden glow accent lighting around perimeter of the recess.
A dated look but nice way to define spaces.
Maybe a nice concept for upstairs main hallway
Like the inlayed bur-bur(?) carpeting - may be ideal for upstairs bedrooms.
**Just really enjoy the 'rec space' vibe that this room has. Not sure where it'd go in our home but really has that feel of a lofted rec room that can take a beating without too much concern for wear and tear
**In general this interior design is the one we keep coming back to as our favorite. Ceiling, walls, flooring all fit really well re: color, material, and texture as well as the minimal but not too minimal framing around the window spaces.
The 'indoor/outdoor' continued ceiling is what we're liking here. Really like how it makes the space feel re: size and flow.
**Just an example of an incorporated 2nd floor open walkway. We'd ideally like to have a sitting area on 2nd floor open to 1st floor on at least 2 sides.
**Not sure what specifically to attribute it to but we really like the 'breezeway'/transitional feel of the mudroom. Maybe it's the use of glass between interior and mud room and then mudroom to exterior that makes it appear as an intermediate space but really like that - sort of exactly the nature of a mud room.
**This builder's portfolio has quite a few great examples of exterior and interior layouts and designs we really like. Will update with specific project names.***Update with list: Marin Residence (exterior and interior), Walnut Grove (Exterior), The Oaks (Exterior), Mountain Home Ranch (Exterior and Interior), Bale Lane (exterior), Bennett Valley (exterior and interior), Dry Creek Road Views (interior).
