My Project
Ideas for new house
This entire project is a lesson in use of existing architectural features and melding old with new; creativity in space expansion; creativity in space utilization; color pallet selection
Love the area rug
Fold-down ledge
Very cool closet inclosure; use of rounded pulls
Elevated platform for bed to give illusion of space separation
High drama with color selection, large art, chandelier, velvet pillows
Very cool design for multiple sleeping area
Love this entire design from color pallet to use of windows, placement of second sink, absence of upper cabinets; open and airy design
Cool niche for interest without taking up floor space with a freestanding piece of furniture
Pendant lights, whole vibe of the space w neutrals complimented by the pop of primary colors
Curtain idea for small french doors vs use of something like vertical blinds or tie-back curtains (use of swinging curtain rods)
Use of the very large area rug makes the space look much larger
Great galley kitchen design leaving the oven/stove feeling like it has space by not adding in upper cabinetry
Integration of the TV into the dividing wall/feature wall
The use of blacks and browns and the addition of the natural fur throws on the chairs for added texture
Clever way of bringing a plug-in light across to make it a pendant
The wood elements, simplicity; ladder for towels and a little bit of storage
The functionality and aesthetic of a very, very small kitchen
Interesting plant wall
The geometric features containing plants on the deck provide interest to otherwise pretty linear space
Narrow foot locker to use as bench + storage
Smart use of the end of a room for closet space
Great use of the narrow alcove for the bed
Smart use of geometric colorful tile to draw the eye into the room to make it feel larger; very narrow vanity to save space
Under stair storage
Color combinations are both soothing and crisp
Very cool use of geometric tiles for interest and to avoid needing a bullnose or bringing all the way to the ceiling
The brick flowing from inside to outside walls; wall of glass
Simplicity of the line using same doors to bath as into closet
The windows! Do not care for the pendant lights
Flow from indoors to outdoors
High drama
Lighting in ceiling; disappearing wall
Staircase design; question whether it meets US building codes
Love how they continued the vertical lines and color pallet throughout
Color pallet is soothing; vertical boards on cabinets and square tiles work well together
interesting idea for lighting outdoors
Cool built in beds
Visual interest may pull eye away from less appealing aspects of a small space
Carpet under bed
Ideas for our Siesta mudroom/laundry/pantry
