I would add these vines around the shelf just under the television, as well as some other plants around the room. I feel that the vines and pop of fresh green will draw the eyes even more towards the tv and fireplace.

proportion: The sizes of the objects at the top shelf all fit together very well, the flower plants are not too big, and the slight bulkiness of them is balanced out by the shorter vases.
Q
Photo
focal point: The focal point in this room is the television and the fireplace. The diagonal lines on the ceiling help subconsciously direct out eyes to the middle, where the fireplace and tv sit.
Q
Photo
asymmetry: The plant and the lamp are asymmetrical, however it works very nicely. The lamp is more heavy and dark, while the plant and the glass vase level that out with their light, more thin and airy look.

golden ratio: The cabinets cut off just at the golden ratio, making them not look too blocky and having a nice aesthetic look. The vertical space also adds another dimension of space, instead of only horizontal pieces.

gradiation: The transition from white to dark grey is apparent from the white ceiling, down to the light grey air vent, to the dark grey cabinets, and down to the almost black rim of the kitchen island.
Q
Photo
repetition: In this room, a bluish-teal color is repeated throughout. This can be seen in the doors, the painting, the couch, etc. This repetition of color pulls everything in the room together and makes it feel whole.
Q
Photo
scale: The big chain on the table may look huge, but compared to the very large, dark table it is on it fits and is a good scale for a centerpiece.
Q
Photo
radiation: The stones around the fire pit seem to branch out, as seen in the cracks between the stones. As well as that, the deck chairs go around the pit evenly, radiating out from the center.

symmetry: This bathroom is split right in half between the mirror, making two identical halves. This symmetry makes the room feel neat and luxurious, while also feeling comfortable to be in.
