Gradation: There is a lot of Gradation in this room. One example of this is on the white bookshelf the color of the books gradually increases from dark colors to light colors. Also, from the left to right side of this room the color increases from a grey couch and white rug, to blue chairs and colorful painting on the walls.
Scale: This room is very to scale. The bed size fits perfectly in between the two large windows on the left and right side of the room. Above the bed the two pictures hanging fit for the sizing of the walls, along with the size of the bed. The right accesories in this room were used correctly and the size of the room fits.
Proportion - golden rectangle: The three photos hanging above the bed in this room is an example of golden rectangle proportion. It is very pleasing to humans for things to be divided into three, so that is why it seems like a perfect fit for those three pictures to be above the bed. This brings a satasfiation to the eye
Asymmetrical: This room is very asymmetrical because they are equaling and evening out the weight throughout the room. The two couches on the left right side of the room are very heavy along with the two tables, so the big green tree and big window to the left even out the weight of the room. Makes it so the room is not uneven, and has a causal feel.
symmetrical: This bathroom is symmetrical because it is very balanced. The left side of the bathroom is the exact same as the right side of this bathroom, along with same lighting and colors. If you drew a line right down the middle of this bathroom, both sides would be exactly the same. This brings a feeling of calmness and peace.
Emphasis: I chose this bed to be the emphasis of my room. I think that this type of canopy bed is a great focal point/center of attention. While this is a big center of attention in a bed room, it is also a very modern piece, not something clustered.
