well, this is just so sweet. don't love the shutters and stars, but do love the plant growth and the pebbles. feels so relaxing. like a euro vineyard.
So clean and stunning. the use of shadow is chef's kiss. and the built in firewood holder to create interest and warms. yes.
different than my needs, but sort of like the garage as a box, covered outdoor space. love the use of material. that concrete is lovely. i love how simple it is and the texture is the interest. plus the little wood covering in the gangway. it's just different and interesting. love the geometry, simplicity and use of materials.
really different than my needs, but love the use of materials, including the wall trellis.
Although this is similar to others, it doesn't land for me. too busy. and feels too ... formal (?)
Love the whole vibe of this. the large concrete slabs, the stones, the wall, the black pillars, the pops of wood.
This felt the most similar to my front house. i like the path from the street. don't like the light fixtures or plantings. feels ... meh. i think because of the scale. needs something big and chunky to anchor. do like the lighting under the overhand.
i like the use of the slatted wall on the front door. creates a cozy vestibule without it being totally closed off. add climbing plants. like adding new material to tie in. feels like the mid-century vibe and could offset simple, wood window boxes. or too busy? one or the other?
i don't love this per se, but i thought it was an interesting architectural facade to an entryway to add dimension and heft. especially since my front is so flat.
interesting pillars with light fixtures.
I'm not sure why i saved this. but it sure is pretty. maybe it's the chunky, simple pillar? the window overhand adding dimension that's not a typical awning or shutter? that it's a white house but feels cozy? shrug. it's pretty.
Again, can i pick a landscape that's further from glen ellyn?! but i like the use of the wood structures throughout the exterior in different directions to add interest but maintain continuity
this is way too fussy and suburban feeling to me, but i like the idea of an interesting gate with structures to transition from side yard / driveway to the back yard.
i really liked the interesting use of this structure to create a space. no crossbars on this pergola so it's really open feeling but defines space -- maybe on the patio space just outside the garage into the yard to mirror pergola usage in the dining area but not feel so closed in
love the chunkiness of these pillars and how clean this pergola is. (oh how i miss the mountains.)
love the black fence. love the gray gravel. love the cement walkway and firepit. love the grasses. just needs some wood to soften and add height. but this feels the most suburban pic that captures the elements i love of the very california pics of all the others.
Interesting use of wood accent at window
