@Christie Onoda I would say that it looks light (but not white) from a birds-eye view, especially if there is direct sunlight/light shining on it. But when you view it from an angle and in a darker room you can really see the darker/richer shades come through.
We haven't moved in yet as our renovation is still ongoing but we have vacuumed & swept the floor a few times already. Dirt/dust can accumulate in the bevels so you might need to give it a little extra TLC but I think that's simply a drawback to having bevels. In my opinion, a product without bevels might be easier to clean, but it comes at the cost of realism.
I had engineered hardwood walnut flooring in my old condo and I could see all the smudges/footprints/scratches/dirt on it. I'm sure there are certain colours or patterns that will hide dirt better but I didn't choose my flooring based on what hides dirt the best. Personally, I've set the expectation for myself that I'll see the dirt with any type of flooring product, especially if I am looking for it. Flooring is meant to be walked on, and who knows what we or our families (both the 2 legged and 4 legged kinds) will be dragging into the house on our feet, paws, socks, slippers, or shoes. I understand that we all want pristine floors but I don't think that's a realistic expectation. If something is within my reach, I'm sure it will end up with smudges/scratches/dents/dirt on it eventually lol.
@Anthony Chang Anthony, do you have anything to share about your experiences living with Cyril Oak?
