Gable
Idea for master bedroom - I would rather do white Chantilly Lace everywhere (including the ceiling) to make the ceiling slope disappear. Otherwise, if you use a color (even gray owl), it will really chop off the space. But painting the slopped portion of the ceiling above your bed can be really cool. It is daring, but I think you can take it. I could put together a small 3D rendering to show you the different color options and we could decide over Zoom. I would need a couple hours to generate the 3D rendering, and once done, we can change the color live at many time as we want
Ledgstone - https://www.wayfair.com/home-improvement/pdp/msi-arctic-6-x-18-honed-marble-corner-piece-tile-trim-in-white-mvp3412.html
Herringbone marble tiles: will require a trim on the outside corner to look neat because it is a lot of work to bevel each small tile
Using ledgestones at the bottom - There are beautiful marble ones with a bit of shimmer

34x38 - Not sure you want the beveled glass though.
I have used these in a beautiful home in Natick. You would get 36x36 - https://www.ballarddesigns.com/bd/362730
32x32 - ideally a little wider (up to 39")/taller: https://englishelm.com/products/safavieh-verti-mirror-in-black
28x33 installed vertically: =https://www.westelm.com/products/raven-window-mirror-d9104/
Would you consider painting all door black - in which case hardware should be either brushed nickel or brushed brass

Not this traditional design "stainglass", but it does bring something to the farmhouse style

If we left the floors natural, and painted only the hand rails and spindles. What about the skirtboard? CR: skirt board stays white in this case. And you will need to sans down the treads
Only treads, newels and handrails are black

Only treads and handrails are black
CR: This is closer to the spindles you have
CR: for the main foyer stairs, we would leave the skirtboard white and only paint/stain the tread and risers, will all handrails and spindles, black. By the way, the painted risers can only be painted - Stripping them would be a lot of work and they not even be good wood. I recommend you paint everything satin black - floor paint/oil-based paint for durability
CR: if you imaging the wood treads to be black, this is what it would look like (metal spindles)
Foyer black stairs - Paint the spindles black for now - Maybe later you can change them for simple straight square metal spindles
CR: This is how I would paint the Family room stairs (including the skirtboard)
Black columns
Double flat stock - and we would not do the top crown molding
