The main door, built of wood, features square panes of copper. To its right, beside the exterior entryway, rests a built-in shoe rack with wood-clad cubbyholes.
Inside, unpolished Kota flooring is used in the foyer, while a dropped timber ceiling echoes the surrounding wood theme.

A passageway connects the foyer to the living room, where a triple-height ceiling and a wall almost entirely composed of sweeping fin windows visually expand the room. The accent wall serves as a canvas for a digitally developed wallpaper as a pichwai artwork. A trad wooden swing completes the seating area.
“Through handpicked local elements, we tried to bring in the essence of Gujarati culture in a contemporary avatar,” says Gujarathi.

Situated next to the living room is the dining room.
The finishes here are raw and rustic, with an exposed concrete ceiling, a rough granite-top dining table and wooden chairs channelling an earthy presence.

A sheeny greystone bar flanks the dining table.
A floating staircase is situated within a triple-height atrium, illuminated by a skylight with an exposed brick wall to one side.
“The staircase is embellished with segments of polished wood and raw iron that merge seamlessly with the rest of the decor,” says Shah.

The staircase leads to a vivid-toned lobby that overlooks the living room below. The finned window scheme features warm, geometric patterns, while unfussy floor seating provides a relaxed interlude between the two floors. To the right, is a semi-open balcony.
Hushed greys and rich timber have been used in the master bedroom. The bed, mounted on a double-decker wooden platform, is the centrepiece of the room. Natural wood warms the floor, while the walls sport an interplay of mustard paint and grey geometric wall panelling.
“We were fortunate to be given carte blanche when it came to the decor, colour schemes, furniture and fabrics,” says Shah.

The master bedroom has a walk-in closet, outfitted entirely in wood and white.

In the second bedroom, a dominant grey-and-white palette prevails. The wooden headboard is balanced by the whiteness of the wardrobe scheme, while herringbone panels cloak the floor.
Cocooned in techno-acoustic panels, grey walls and bands of backlighting, the home theatre models a cinema-esque appeal. The floor seating inspires a knocked-back vibe, perfect for Saturday night movie marathons. “The room is enhanced by dramatic lighting, assorted wood tones and contrasting fabrics,” says Shah.
