Emphasis: the emphasis is this room draws the attention to the red curtain and appliances.

Gradation: The gradation in the space is shown in the tile in the shower and how it starts off dark at the floor, and gradually gets lighter. The gradation in the bathroom helps the eye to move more easily around the room.

Repetition: there is repetition in the turquoise color in the furniture, rug and wallpaper. The repetition in this space helps to create a sense of stability.

Radial Balance: in this space the focus is centered around the fireplace, this was done by using the curved furniture around it. The radial balance was what helped keep this focus.

Symmetrical: if this room were to be split down the middle it would be almost entirely the same on both sides. The symmetry in the space supports the idea of balance which makes the room feel more harmonious and inviting.
