I like the taller thinner style of these windows. Greg - We can do the taller windows in the front bedroom. The maximum height in the kitchen, above a countertop, with the 9' ceiling, is 4'9" - this would put them at countertop height and the wood trim on the sides would butt against the countertop material. We could do 4' high in the kitchen so we could trim all 4 sides, and butt the backsplash material against the trim on all 4 sides.
like the style of front siding plus porch with door and windows( not the color or panes) Greg - This siding is close to what you currently have - just new and painted white to give it a modern look. We only have 8' of interior wall space, and the front door is 3' wide, plus jamb and trim for a total of 3'5" - 3'7". We could modify the front door unit to keep only the door (removing the side lights), and then install 2' windows on each side, but they would be very close to the door and probably look odd. We could go with 1' wide windows and move them away from the door. We would need this decision soon, before the permit drawings start. HEIDI- sorry, I didnt mean the exact placment of door and windows. our original plan of door with the sidelites to the right and 4-5 window bank to the left is good.
