Covered Deck ideas
the oreintation of the seating against the railing/facing the 'wall' of the house somehow seems logical/relatable to our space. again we don't need a tv or a fully coved roof like that but the space is oriented in a similar way. the practical question woudl be about rain/weather hitting the furntiure
love the look of this roof
this is an interesting idea to create a covered *portion - and the rest open.
if we did closed in, i'd not want it to be this dark. maybe skylights/light tubes and more openness because this does not appeal at all
like how the beams mimic what we have inside. no need for hte kitchen but the heating and lighting is an important idea
hadn't thought of this but the idea of creating a sunporch of this type is really appealing. maybe the windows on the left could open alllll the way somehow. fireplace not necessary of course
i like the smooth flow into the 'yard' and including plantings on the deck. need to be realistic about maintenance, etc.
like the idea of opening up house to outdoor flow - using outdoors as 'living' space. Need to consider the practicality of things like furniture, bugs, critters, etc.
perhaps the step down into the 'yard' could really step down onto more deck but bordered by plantings (or seatings with *some* plantings on the end?)
