NEW KITCHEN FINAL IDEAS
2. Wood edge under granite. Panels under bar at each end since this area opens to each side. Island storage below bar with push hinges for "panel look" across. Pull out drawers under bar. Push hinges door in the center
3. This paint color is Benjamin Moore - Wrought Iron 2124-10 or other shade of grey for island color
4. Pull out drawers under island bar in center part. Build doors wide enough to look like panels used at each end which would be the side of the cabinet facing the stove top on one side and window seat on the other side. Use push hinge so all doors look like panels.
5. Drop down drawer front for outlets. Made like a sink drop down. See 6 and 7 and decide which style works best.
6. Full overlay style tip down outlet "drawer".
7. overlay drawer front drop down for outlet
8. Open bottom for trash cans left side of sink with
9. This style drawer front/pulls for trash/recyle. Full overlay instead of what is shown in photo. This drawer doesn't appear to have glides on it which I would think it would need.
10. under sink drawers. Depending on drain location, configuration of inside drawer depends on which end drain will be on. be Using a 45 inch under mount sink with drain at end. Dishwasher will be on the right side of sink.
11. Wall cabinets over gas stove top. Approx. 99 inches is size of area. Center exhaust vent on the wall. Double doors on cabinets (total width 24 inches) on each side of exhaust vent. Corbels under exhaust approx 4 in. wide? Lighting under cabinets that will not show fixture. Extend base counter toward sun room the length of the available granite piece. Install a prep sink in this section. See photo #18.
12. range hood closer view. Tall cabinet doors to the ceiling like in this photo. Avoid short doors at ceiling.
13. Another closer view of vent hood, Do we need to have an access to inside the hood?
14. Full length doors with glass like this at top only at the cooktop area. Also, see Photo 15.
15. Bump out at cook top. Bump out should be as wide an area that lines up with the corner of each. I don't think we can use the pull out we have. Need to measure. Decide on one or two sets of stacked drawers under cook top.
16. closer view of bump out.
17. Extend stove top counter into sun room. Place bar sink, leaving some counter space at end like this.Sink will be about this size and will be rectangular. Deep drawers under the sink.
18. Two refrigerators touching each other No large gap above refrigerators. Only the doors are to protrude from the cabinet around the refrigerators.
19. Pull out work shelf in cabinet next to refrigerator. I do not plan to use shelf as a cutting board so it can be a solid board sealed.
20. Pull out work shelf to have drawer from with same look as other drawers. Not plain like this.
21. Cabinet between refrigerator and ovens. Pull out to be counter level two pulls. Double doors above pull out. Drawers stacked below.
22. This is a pull out shelf inside the drawer. Can this be done without hardware on the shelf so that drawer can be deeper.
23. Maybe have solid pull out shelf inside a deep drawer for pull out next to oven/microwave.
24. Dividers above microwave/ovens AND above cabinet left side of ovens.
25. For safety, as well as ease of use, the microwave should be placed no higher than the shoulder height of the primary user. Six inches below shoulder height is better for older users. The most convenient height, according to ergonomic studies, is between 2 inches below and 10 inches above the user's elbow height. See drawer in Photo #27
26.Out swing pantry door with hinge on right. This look with double "faux" doors above "faux" drawers See next photo
27. Over lap pantry door. Behind these panels appears to be wood that would give strength that would not warp. This way thickness is not on outer edge of door. Make each section close together with no gaps. Faux drawers fronts at bottom Faux double doors at top.
1. Stacked drawers on sides of island rather than doors in photo. End panels to have an electric outlet in a tip-out "drawer"at all 4 corners, with a panel below. See photo #5 Approx 15 inch overhang for bar.
