This bunk room is cute indeed. But as an owner of three sets of bunk beds I have to warn any would-be designers of bunk rooms that the beds are very difficult to make. I would suggest slipcovering the mattresses and using cute sleeping bags. Imagine kneeling on the top bunks while trying to stretch the fitted sheets over the corners of the mattresses! Another suggestion would be to have the beds slide out for ease of making.

Very true! I actually am the designer (and a parent) so I hear you. I did make these beds myself so I do agree that its not as comfortable to make the top bunk. What you cannot see from the image is that we added a 20" wide shelf along the entire length of the beds on either side. This helps alot as well as adding the extra bedside table space that makes using these a little more practical.
