Another possibility for a railing and top of the stairs

Stairs?? Like the idea, just not aware if/how possible. Thinking a couple standard stairs to the platform, then a metal run to the upstairs.

Thinking about the attic, just opposite the existing closet door or by stairs door. Storage area for clothing, abutting there bunks. Maybe a u shape, with doors or drawers and maybe some open shelving also like the roof detail if possible.

Like the simplicity here, not the colors we are thinking though.

Like the 2x2 bunks

Roof line on upper bunk could add a little space tucked under the eave. Like to maximize this option as much as possible to gain space in the center of the room. Kids love this photo. Trying to work off 3 set of bunk beds, 2 on the rear wall, one on the front wall

Possible built in bed options, not so much the p&b

Like the walls and bench.

Imagine this photo mirrored. Built-in storage of flanking window is removed.

Imagine this photo mirrored. Built-in storage while keeping the current door and window placement.
Q

Two main thoughts: the open storage to organize everyone’s gear and perhaps using a door similar to this to replace the current door and windows (it opens up wall space while still providing proper natural light)
Q
Photo
Another example of a dual purpose room. (maybe more formal looking than needed, but note the materials used: natural wood ceiling, painted wood walls, wood floor-- but all light colored, which may be beneficial in your space due to the limited natural light)
Q

A nice arrangement for a bunk/ play room
Q

The built in ins't fully exposed, leaving wall space to define a room and semi-privacy for the bunks.
