Kitchen
Just a thought on the gable end of the extension; Might it be a good idea to put in windows similarly placed to these so that one might see through the playroom/hall and into the pool? If the playroom/hall behind has lots of light filtering into it from above it might give the illusion of the kitchen being boundaried by the outside on that end which would be nice dor continuity of the dual aspect thing. It would also be nice to see into the playroom/and pool while potentially working in the kitchen.
This island arrangement is interesting as it allows some storage. Ceverly it facilitates entertainment and work space and offers two different levels as a sort of boundary between the two. A nice feature is that it floats and the ends are angled to give the illusion of a more open space. It sits quietly in the kitchen i think without the sharp blocky edge look of many island units.
