I'm thinking more and more of a cabinet like this one with the plate slats to go between the French doors outside and the sink, above an under counter dishwasher. The exposed plates make for easy table setting! The cabinet could be for glasses and cups. With the height of our kitchen, could do a double shelf covered cabinet?

Interesting way of separating the celiac station from the other.

Hmm. this is kinda what I was thinking but the backsplash does nothing here but make it all weighted down in mood. So that might be the key to lifting the energy in the kitchen?

Ha, check out this backsplash. It makes me smile but might be a bit to aggressive. I suppose it depends on the colors. haha

I like how this curves in for the sink. Maybe use this idea on the inner peninsula without the sink, but more a cut/prep station.

strategically changing cabinet colors instead of breaking top and bottom appeals to me, but seems real complicated to design.

Interesting backsplash that could tie together upper and lower cabinet colors.

Cool backsplash! but I don't like the flat cabinet fronts.

two toned kitchen is nice. I could see going darker on the bottom cabinets and having color on the upper cabinet fronts but keeping the white cabinets for trim effect. (ha, third color)

same here with the upper cabinets, not sure about glass. Would love to incorporate the arch feel...maybe

Interesting treatment of the overhead cabinets. I can see incorporating some color into the smaller fronts.
