Take out the island in this picture and it looks like what our kitchen could end up looking like! Very similar layout!
WOW! I love this, down to the floor. Just give me black hardware and I'd be ready to copy this exactly...

This would be nice with a different countertop IMO. Is there too much variation in the backsplash color for you?
I think it's probably at the limit, but wouldn't want it behind open shelves. That might be too much. If it's just the strip between uppers/lowers, I think it could work.

I don't mind white cabinets and counter with a backsplash like this.
Those tiles are a bit too glass-y for me.

Instead of black, we could do the island countertop here.

I like the variation in this backsplash, but I don't like the length of the tiles. I also don't like how it's too close to the countertop.

A bit too much variation in the backsplash but even with it being a similar tone to counters, it's not too washed out for me.

UMMMMM- perfect?????? I'd change cabinet fronts to the style we like and this is pretty darn perfect for me.
Q

Change backsplash but the cabinet to counter ratio is perfect.

Make hardware black and this is pretty close to what I would want if we went white cabs

This says gray but reads a super pale sage green! This is why gray is so hard!

We would need to make sure the gray doesn't run purple...it does in this picture a little bit.

Gray cabs and black hardware. Grout is WAY too dark. Also I'd go a little lighter on the floor.

I like this backsplash tile

Nice gray tone. Replace handles with knobs, keep pulls. Replace wood countertop with a dark gray similar tone to that wood.

Gray cabs and black hardware. In this case the backsplash tile is so dark, it would have been too much to bring it up behind the open shelves.

Glass front cabs, I'd do a darker gray countertop

Gray cabs, black hardware, wood shelves, tile only goes to the bottom shelf and it still looks good.

I love this gray tone, and it looks so great with the wood. Grout is too dark for my taste.

gray cabinets and black hardware, I like the warm wood accents too

What about white cabinets and a slate colored counter? I know the backsplash tile isn't your style but the color isn't bad.
Yes did you see the 2nd one I added? "maybe if the countertops were a darker gray, and not black."

Floating shelves, gray cabinets, white counters. I think I'd want to go lighter on the gray cabinets than this.

Light gray cabinets add just enough.
This one's gorgeous! I keep looking at it. I wonder if it's too modern for our house? But do think it's very pretty.

I don't like the grout, but I like the tile color.

This gray looks good in this light.

The cabinets are too blue but I'd like this with a better gray color for the cabinets.

maybe if the countertops were a darker gray, and not black. But I LOVE the variation in that backsplash tile
