This is a picture I flagged originally for the kitchen. The fireplace feels interesting because of the varied stone shapes and sizes.

Like the texture of this stonework. The style of the lower area doesn’t work with our home. But the texture and color of the stone are nice. I might want ours to have greater variety of stone size or larger stones.

I like this drystack because there aren’t obvious horizontal lines running across the fireplace - still see a variety of stone sizes.

Like this idea of dry-stacking - it looks a little too neat here but we are intrigued.

I want this fireplace! I love the wood at the top, the texture, and the colors. But mostly the size (out of scope, ha!)

Like color, shape (although these tend more towards the rectangle than I would design), like the hearth/seat.

I like that this seat is not super smooth/polished. I like the diversity of rock shape. I like the color.

I think this is too clean with the slate/granite seat and its sharp/clean edges. I like our odd, bumpy seat better!

I think the color is off here. But I like that the grout is further inlaid and that the face of the fireplace is not smooth/flush with the grout. I like the size of these stones.

like the colors, irregular shapes - but would probably want ours to look less like perfect puzzle pieces placed together (es: the piece that looks like a frying pan on the lower left)

Like the seats at the hearth, like the variety of stones, like the color.

Like the variety in the stone shape and size, like the lichen, like the colors. The biggest stones with sharp lines do bring in a more modern bent than we probably want though.
