Texas Sage - Silverado variety is my favorite, but darker green and more bushlike varieties are available. This is another very hardy plant for us. Semi-evergreen and really appreciates rainwater. Some call it a rain sage because it's more likely to bloom after a heavy rain than with fertilizer/watering. No limit to height or spread. 30-40 year old plants can be considered trees if pruned to be so.
Confetti Lantana - Is perennial if west/south facing, and covered by 4" of mulch, rock, decomposed granite etc. Must have insulation to return and the more it can be protected from the elements in winter the better. ***Slightly hardier than yellow lantana*** Limited by winter, pruned back to the base in March. No limit to size.
Yellow Yucca - same as red yucca....but yellow!!!
