Relandscape after the Wildfire
just like the softening of the concrete wall by the yarrows. maybe more surburban than we want....
that low growing grey ground covery plant grows well in our area
like the grasses and trees in the foreground on both sides
big rock garden?
maybe a small field of red flax
What happens when these all start having babies?
Have to save this for Tara and Josh for their future little suburban home somewhere in LA/Long Beach area
are thee the clumpy no mow grasses?
Again, part more "designed" and lots behind the retaining wall "wildish"
Love the agaves (I think) and the grasses behind
like the mixture of controlled grasses and behind more crazy mixed up plantings
we'll have a cement retaining wall with an area in front and lights behind
like center-right back tree
is that papyrus on the left?
love pots with succulents. Dorr prefers citrus!
love this garden! Can love it without wanting it right?
lawn substitute from Susie's ideabooks
Just as a reminder of what we don't want again!
would love to have safely contained bamboo!
attractive combo but too intensively planted for me
Nice grass plantings. What happens over time with the grasses? Do the spread? Do they die after a year or so?
this is a bit much for me, too many elements for my taste, but like the grasses and trees
Is this the clumping no mow grass?
Like the left side plantings.
like the sparseness of the plantings
In another life I would have liked this!
Love the olives, large pots, simple low plants
we have lots of stones and urbanite
Cool fence
olive in pot
container
Like the potted olives... at least I think they're olives!
These plants all work out on our western side. Before the area was intensively filled with plants of this nature, but while we still love them, we would like to move away from the maintenance of the whole area.
Love that big pot of succulents on the right.
The area in the background... trees
red kpaws and red other plant on right
