Minty Fresh From Dunn-Edwards Paints My own personal just-for-fun prediction for a 2020 Color of the Year was a hue similar to this. It’s a soft blue-green that creates a chill-out vibe. This can serve as a nice alternative to light gray when you want a mellow hue to break up expanses of white. Here it looks clean, unfussy and fresh — a perfect New Year’s resolution color for the home.
Build a backdrop. Words can’t describe the perfection of this bathroom scene, with a subtly stylish background of hexagonal wall tiles showing off a statement sink. What to match with it? A plain, floor that doesn’t vie for attention, black faucets that add a custom contemporary edge and a simple frameless mirror that echoes the shape of the sink.
And I couldn’t round out this tour without showing you the lovely cabana bath. “It’s very fresh and clean,” Ronderos says. The shower has a showstopping glass mosaic accent wall. While the house is open, contemporary and light, it feels welcoming. “We carried a cohesion through the entire house that makes it feel warm and inviting,” she says.

Chunky Blue & white stripes - very nautical IF you use different blue/green/aqua.... in different shades, will still have nautical vibe but perhaps softer look?
Artistic Accent This California powder room’s bohemian-style curtain in a natural texture shows that accent walls needn’t be limited to paint, wallpaper or tile.
Nautical Cottage Beach Style Bathroom, Miami
Finishing Touches Keep a beach-style bathroom light and airy with finishing touches that add texture and seaside character. Look for lightweight striped or fringed towels, woven pendant lights, a natural wood stool and ceramic or glass accessories in shades of blue
Coastal Color Beach bathrooms use colors inspired by the sand, sky and sea to create a sense of place. Crisp white paired with seaside blue is a popular palette, though it’s certainly not the only option. For a more vibrant take, look to leafy greens and bold corals inspired by the tropics. Colors for beach bathrooms: Beachy neutrals. Driftwood, soft beige, white, ocean mist Blues and greens. Aqua, sea glass, turquoise, teal, sea green, navy Bright accents. Orange, lime, lemon, coral, lobster red
Idea from this years show @ Highpoint- British Colonial, English cottage garden and Arts and Crafts style were evident throughout the market. At Steven Shell, a green vanity and mirror with bamboo inlay had a garden-inspired look.
Translate this into a coastal theme....... The designer stayed true to Colorado’s rustic Western roots while also creating a feeling of refinement in this powder room near Denver, pairing elements like wood shiplap and a distressed wood vanity with a copper vessel sink and dark bronze fixtures. A hand towel is draped over a branch-shape handle as one last elegant yet rustic touch.
Natural wood vanities. Bathrooms can often look and feel cold with all that tile, glass and metal. Wood vanities help bring a large dose of warmth. And while wooden vanities aren’t new, what’s catching on is wood grain pattern and knots — reclaimed wood or light wood with clear stains that celebrate the details of the grain.
In this popular powder room, designer Kimberlee Gorsline of Kimberlee Marie Interior Design wrapped all the walls in white shiplap to create a textured backdrop for a mint green vanity and patterned ceramic floor tile

Bead Board lengthens the room. Same color/tones as cabinet & countertops is GOOD to expand the room visually. Having a focal point of interest on the back wall ALSO expands the 'space' visually.
