I'm not sure about what dimensions would look like, but this would and could be a great look for my living room.

This is a great island idea! I would do stools with backs though. These look too 1950's and out of place. I do love the flush cabinets and the butcher block piece at the end of the island.

What if this is what the end of the island facing the window looks like, except with the dishwasher contained in as well. Then the rest of the island can be a table with overhangs on all three of the other sides.

I like the waterfall drop down to the table height.

This is also an interesting option. I like the chairs.

I love this. It's so coastal.

Add a fridge to the left and different drawer pulls and countertops and i love this. The ease of access to the stove and oven and microwave, and the glass doors on the top to display things. This is fantastic.

I love the colors here, I just don't know if it will work in my smaller space.

Maybe this is an idea, adding a bench under the front window for a small table and also seating on the island.

I like this, but maybe leaving space for seating on the side.

I love how the table attaches to the island.

The colors and the handle pulls and the butcher block all work well together. I think the gray might be too dark for my house, but I think all this could work with an off white as well.

I love the benches!!! The wood and the fantastic cushions.

I love the raw wood and the color combinations. I even like the dark counter top, which is surprising.I would not do open shelving.

Not a fan of the colors or the mid-century modern design on the chairs, but I like the table and the bench attached to the island and the clean white kitchen behind it.
