Like the contrast of foliage texture and forms

Again like idea of garden room. But I prefer crushed bluestone which is less formal and can blend into plantings (soften edges) and I don't like the huge pool and all the "art" I am looking for more cozy and intimate and less formal

Like the idea of path leading to destination in back yard, where planting obscure lines of sight and create sense of mystery/drama

Another view of same, hydrangeas and hardscape define the yard area with trees behind (in our case for privacy)

Like the massing of hydrangeas with trees as backdrop to define the space. Could see something like this in back part of back yard where trees play screening role

Like the sense of walking "into the wood" even though its an urban setting. Like the hydrangeas

I like the combination of small tree and trellis to provide dappled shade

Here you can see better and in contrast I would like ours to feel more secluded rather than being at the edge of massive hardscape

again the fact that it is a well-defined room with a large enough space to entertain

Like the idea of garden "room" surrounded by greenery
