Plate Cove
this backsplash for the kitchen is a nod to the old buildings in NL, as many of their roofs had this sort of look.
may want to consider black kitchen sink for Plate Cove. It may compliment the stove and vice versa
this provides somewhat of a solution, if we were to go with a non double-sided sink, and just one large farmhouse sink. We're thinking one, large farmhouse sink is a bit impractical, since we often use the other part of the sink to dry dishes. Cutting board over sink is a practical idea to increase counter-space...
potential sink finish?
farmhouse style kitchen sink
like the weathered copper finish
we like the waterfall taps that show more of the running water
another option that hints at old wash basins
consider a fun sink that reminds us of the old NL wash basins
like the nickel finish
reminder that we want a waterfall faucet for the bathroom
we think in a smaller space, it's brilliant to have built-in storage like this.
Ryan and I both love the use of beadboard on the walls. However, if the main room walls are mostly going to be covered by furniture, photos, art, etc, it may make the most sense to do the bead boarod on the ceiling (as shown here). Or just paint the 2x4 plywood on the ceiling white (as a potentially cheaper option).
if you look at all of the photos associated with this one, in regards to design style, this house is one of my favourites overall that I've ever seen.
obviously not the master, but maybe guest or kids room? We think it's a great idea to have storage built in under the beds
like the shape of the legs, but don't really like the colour
handy for maximizing storage off the floor
could use this as a side table to add texture
storage chest
love this table, but remember need to maximize storage space
these tables also look nice, and provide ample storage for pillows and blankets. Ryan really likes these.
might be nice to have one or two brown leather chairs of some kind to add some warmth to the space
might be nice to have this type/colour of wall in the porch area?
we still like the "shingle" sized siding for Plate Cove best, but if it's cheaper to do it like this, that'll work too. Whichever style is cheaper, we'll do...
I like how this photo shows a more "white white" working with the more "cream white" of the dishes. We'd need to make this work too, since we're planning on having a biscuit coloured stove, but also use lots of a "truer white" on the ceilings, kitchen cabinets, etc
laminate flooring
we would love this colour scheme/design style, and would also love one feature wall in the living room to be done like the wall on back of this stove. We would also like to put the stove on a piece of stone like this (cost-dependent).
love this colour scheme for a bathroom. Also want windows that open like this (versus the crank kind...)
love the colour scheme, and also want some walls and ceilings like this...they give a nod to the old salt box style I love so much
beige straw-like blind
