Rich - Kitchen Remodel Ideas
Idea for the washer and dryer to be discretely hidden in the bedroom hallway, the current dining room area, or even in the wasted space of the great room (the right side of the room before the bedroom entry; that BR entry could even be removed since there's access from the back hall, leaving enough room to make a small laundry room).
Eliminate the furniture feet on the cabinets and the sink would be more cost effective, but I think the kitchen, cabinets, and appliances should be on the window side and middle wall in the current dining room. I could even do a chalk board wall that we could run some trim around and hang on the existing walls if the students need to share grocery lists (or passive aggressively write bitchy notes to each other).
Cool idea for seating at he end of the island...5 tall stools could fit here. The main table could be a farm-style table with built in bench seating (L-shaped against the walls) and a few chairs as well.
