These blinds show up the casement of the windows - a genuine architecual feature. Painting the frames to match the area above the picture rail gives emphasis to the artistic lighting on the central wall. The scheme has a strong balance. It is possible there is a third window in the set judging by the sunlight across the carpet. Three pairs of curtains would have not left room for the pair of wonderful wall lights.
This blind is very sweet in the nursery scheme. It could easily be 'blackout' lined to make sure that baby + parents don't have to get up at dawn in the summer months. Child safety is so important and all the systems of these blinds have to conform with regulations to ensure strings and chains are out of harm's way.
This Attic space is really well puncuated by the rows of windows. The light must be beautiful coming into the room from almost all sides. The blinds add a rich colour and pattern contrast to the blue patterned walls. I'm guessing that these blinds are not really needed for privacy as this space looks set up for guests and it would take too much time to attend to all the blinds every morning before work...
These bilnds are a wonderful solution to this type of window where there is very little room for curtains to 'stack-back' - Very wide windows like this use a lot widths of fabric per curtain which would cover the glazing when they are open. Also the window space under the sill is much better used by the outward looking windowseat and storage underneath.
These blinds really soften the space without crowding it, leaving room for seating.
