To be frank, I'm kind of offended by design "ideas" that don't reflect the needs of real people! Minimalism is aesthetically gorgeous, I agree. But a bedside setup that doesn't allow for tissues, books, meds (I'm asthmatic, myself, and need my inhaler handy), and a couple pens (for journaling or crosswords) - discreetly stored, for aforementioned aesthetics - ... that's a designer's conceit or a perfectionist's fantasy that doesn't want you to be who you are. Having said that - Nos. 15, 23, 28 & 30 totally rock it for both minimalism and helpful storage. Honourable mention: No. 32. The more elaborate built-ins are thrilling, but that's serious renovation money. For the rest of us ... thanks for a few great ideas.
Practicality of movement in any room you use in semi darkness wins over design any day.
No. 17 wins my vote for dream bedroom - everything about it. No. 7 may have one great lamp but the trail of black cord is a MESS. No. 21 a mighty ingenious solution to bedside storage AND striking through the two-colour paint job. Lots of food for thought in general too - so thank you!
